At Manorcourt Care, in order to provide service users with the very best care, we provide a range of ongoing training and development programmes to our staff:
This includes 5 days of classroom based training with an in-house trainer, selected e-learning modules and a period of shadowing and practical assessment which meets the requirements of the Care Certificate.
All staff will be expected to attend a 3 year cycle of updates to include:
A range of specialist training is available which has been developed for individual job roles and in response to the needs of the clients we care for. This includes topics such as the following and can be delivered in a classroom based setting or through E-learning programmes:
We have linked with a small number of accredited providers in order to offer a range of QCF CPD units and full programmes, including apprenticeships. These are available in the following subjects:
Suitability for these fundable programmes will be discussed at yearly appraisals and supervisions.
Staff development is of great importance to us and we have in place Learning and Development Frameworks which set out the learning pathway for every job role. As well as covering the expected route for an individual to take, it also outlines what learning an individual can undertake to move to another job role within the organisation.
