Manorcourt Homecare expands into Cambridgeshire2nd December 2020
Manorcourt Homecare is extending its specialist 24-hour Live-In Care services into Cambridgeshire, to support an anticipated increase in demand for full-time home-based care across the region.
With research*1 from the UK Homecare Association reporting that 9 out of 10 (92%) respondents aged 65 years and over agreed that ‘people would prefer to be supported at home, rather than in a care home’, Manorcourt Homecare is expanding its Live-In Care operations to enable those living in Cambridgeshire to receive the support they need, in the comfort of their own home.
Manorcourt Homecare, which is part of the Healthcare Homes Group, is an established provider of domiciliary care and employs almost 800 staff members. This includes over 700 frontline care assistants who provide a host of support and care services to people living in their own homes in Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.
From December, members of the public across Cambridgeshire will be able to access the Live-In Care service, which is being led by Manorcourt Homecare’s centralised team of experienced Live In Services Manager and Team Leaders.
Hazel, whose Mother has been receiving Live-In care from Manorcourt Homecare for nearly two years, is delighted with the care received: “From the very first contact to discuss homecare to the present date both my mother, myself and other family members have been treated with the utmost courtesy and professionalism.
“The standard of care has been exceptional and I am satisfied that my mother is as comfortable as she could possibly be, in view of her advanced age and health conditions.
“I have always been very happy with the level of communication from Manorcourt and have always found the managers to be responsive and helpful to any communications from myself.
“I would have no hesitation in recommending Manorcourt Homecare to anyone seeking live-in care.”
Lisa McDonald, manager of Manorcourt Homecare said, “The pandemic has really brought home-based care to the fore and the research by the UK Homecare Association really shows a real appetite towards receiving assistance for loved-ones in the comfort and familiar surroundings of their own homes.
“We were seeing an increase for home-based support before the pandemic, and do believe that this is a trend that will continue over the coming months and years. We are therefore delighted to be able to expand our Live-In care services to support people in Cambridgeshire.”
Part of the Healthcare Homes Group, Manorcourt Homecare was recently named in the Top 20 Home Care Awards 2020 by the independent reviews website, homecare.co.uk, for the third consecutive year with a score of 9.6 out of 10.
The Healthcare Homes Group also operates 45 residential care homes across East Anglia and the South. This includes four homes in Cambridgeshire; The Hillings in Eaton Socon, Home Close in Fulbourn, Home Meadow in Toft and Park House in Peterborough.
