Our Branch

Manorcourt Homecare (Clacton-on-Sea) is the division of Healthcare Homes which specialise in providing care services for people who wish to remain living in their own homes for as long as possible.

Whether you require assistance on a regular or temporary basis, a flexible range of services means that carers can provide as little or as much support as is needed, for as long as required.

Care workers are all meticulously trained to provide the highest standards of care to meet strict quality requirements, including those laid down by the The Health & Social Act 2008.

Services

The division offer services throughout East Anglia and Greater London and can provide assistance with: Personal care routines such as bathing and dressing; Domestic tasks such as washing, ironing, cleaning, cooking and shopping; Support services; Day centre services; Placements into residential care homes.

Drag racing. I am a company director for Santa Pod raceway

The Job advertised sounded interesting and never a day the same which adds more interested in any job role.

What role did you carry out before you came to Manorcourt Homecare

I was PA to the CEO, Company Secretary and Chairman.

What do you think a person needs to do to be good in your role?

Understanding, quick learner, jack of all trades that knows all aspects to help out in a busy branch.

What’s your favourite part of your working day and why?

Every part of my working day is wonderful, full of action, understanding and laughter.

What’s been your biggest professional challenge in your current role, or in your career to date?

Working my way up the clerical ladder from a clerk typist to a PA to a chairman.

What has been your biggest career highlight to date?

Being promoted from secretary to PA to the CEO.

What qualities do you think make a good branch manager?

Someone who understands, has compassion, and definitely has a good sense of humor.

What are your interests outside of work/how do you unwind?

Walking my lovely dogs, and tending to my garden, growing vegetables and flowers.

What do you enjoy/are you looking forward to the most about working at this branch?

I enjoy everything I do at this branch, every day is a new challenge with something new to complete, be it Payroll, Training and more.

Completing my NVQ Level 2 as it had been so long since I studied so hard

I enjoy every part of my working day but really enjoy working in the office.

Becoming a medication officer has been challenging at times.

What has been your biggest career highlight to date?

Staying in the care profession for 40 years.

What qualities do you think make a good home manager?

To be a good listener and be supportive towards staff

What do you enjoy/are you looking forward to the most about working at this care home?

Exercise, walking, swimming, going to my beach hut, dancing and socialising with family and friends.

I have worked at this branch for 6 years so I must enjoy working here.  We have a great team.

I like gardening, some DIY, socialising and relaxing
