Anngi Henry, a domiciliary care worker for the Harlow branch of Manorcourt Homecare, has been announced as the winner of the ‘Carer of the Year’ award (homecare) at the inaugural Healthcare Homes Group Star Awards, which took place at a gala reception at Hanbury Manor in Hertfordshire last night.
The awards were launched to recognise residential carers, domiciliary carers and staff that go above and beyond, as part of their working roles at the Healthcare Homes Group, which is made up of 37 residential and nursing homes, plus 16 homecare branches. In total, nine awards were presented.
Anngi was announced as the worthy winner of the hotly-contested ‘Carer of the Year’ award as she has a reputation for always making sure she leaves her customers with a smile on their face. She is extremely vigilant and supportive within her role, and can be relied on at all times to provide compassionate care to everyone that she sees
Gordon Cochrane, CEO of Healthcare Homes Group said: “The whole process of judging our very first Star Awards has made me extremely proud. I am in no doubt that across our group, we have a fantastic team of people who really care; whether it’s the carers on the frontline in our homes or those going to our client’s homes, through to the individuals who work behind the scenes to make everything possible. It was very difficult shortlisting all the nominated candidates, however we are delighted to announce the overall winners and send our sincere congratulations to everyone involved.”
Added Janice King, the Operations Director for Manorcourt Homecare: “Congratulations to Anngi for winning this fabulous award. With 16 homecare branches in our group, the ‘carer of the year’ award was deluged with worthy nominations, however Anngi really stood out in the shortlisting process and the judges were really impressed with her positively caring attitude and approach to treating our clients in the most attentive and supportive way. Very well deserved Anngi.”
Amanda Sills from the Thetford branch was mentioned as worthy finalist due to her bright and positive disposition, her ability to put clients first and her overall love for her work.
